"A bright cloud covered them with his shadow"
stand under the cloud
After Sunday we celebrate today the temptations of light. From the desert, the domain of the Tempter, the Gospel we are now carrying on the Mount of Transfiguration. There are two indications that the Gospel tells us.
The first: "Listen." The second: "It's good for us to be here."
- The listening port light. The dialogue with the Lord transforms. Attending the Word becomes radiant. For man becomes what they contemplate, that prays, loves, which looks through the eyes of the heart.
- Contemplation of the Lord, then, makes us like Him contemplating Only then we will look at the facts with his own eyes. Here is the secret of a radiant face. That of the three disciples on the mountain is a near all'innamoramento. When a boy and girl fall in love in them is a transfiguration. The beloved is seen in a luminous glow. Everything about her (in him) is nice and pleasant. And everything becomes easier.
Christ draws to itself with its charm. His life was sweet, beautiful and blessed; full of friends and radiating kindness. He has embodied the beauty of the gesture of sacrifice, the ideal of free education.
The beauty of good that has surprised and satisfied, but never enough: "I will make three tents," says Peter. He wants to stay there, sheltered from the cloud, as much as possible. A cloud which veils, which puts in a state of meditation and, at the same time, it is bright. Those who love the beauty he is kidnapped, so fascinated by look no further. The beauty attracts, comforts and gives inner peace. "Beauty is the bait of the divine '(S. Weil).
All these considerations suggest something to our family?
- First, that God is not busy, you do not take leave from agitation. Jesus also take breaks.
- Blessed is the house where he breathes a relaxed atmosphere, which creates a peaceful dialogue and spend a joyful celebration with peace in my heart.
is therefore good to be Christ. Keeping his gaze fixed on him, we can learn and live and to choose according to his style. Even our clothes, the fabric of history and symbols of all that is worn, are transfigured in the light of the face of Jesus
